If you do not yet have an account, please contact CrimsonLogic to set one up. To be eligible to transport freight in bond into the U.S., you must also be a bonded carrier. For more information on becoming a bonded carrier, refer to the CBP application form and instructions here: https://www.cbp.gov/document/technical-documentation/ace-bond-guide-electronic-truck-manifest
Typically, when moving goods in bond into the U.S., a customs broker submits the bond information to CBP through the Automated Broker Interface, known as a QP in-bond. However, under ACE eManifest, you also have the option to submit the bond information yourself by including additional details as part of your manifest, referred to as an ACE in-bond.
If you choose to create your own bonds, consider factors like whether your customer requires their broker to handle the bond or if a broker has already filed one for the shipment. It is important to ensure that no other party is submitting a bond for the same shipment.
