What is the expected format of the Primary CCN? The carrier’s alpha SCAC code + Master B/L number or the “9000” code + Master B/L number?
A CCN is the reference identifier assigned by the carrier or freight forwarder to the transport document. It will consist of the four-digit carrier code, followed by a unique carrier-assigned number. For the carrier, it must be their CBSA-assigned mode-specific carrier code. Generally, a CCN must not be duplicated for a three-year period. In the air mode, however, CCNs may be reused after one year.
