What is Denied Party Screening?

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Automated Export System (AES) has a relationship with the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS)/Commerce.

It is through the BIS Denied Parties List that we currently populate our party Screening process. The denied parties is a list of organizations and individuals for which the United States Government maintains restrictions on certain exports, re-exports or transfers of items.

The current CrimsonLogic screening process will warn the submitter that a denied party has been entered but the decision to submit for AES will be left to the user. It is expected that the user will make an informed decision based on the screening process.
