Is cargo allowed to be loaded if an ACW response is received from NAIC?
Yes, cargo may be loaded if an ACW (Accepted with Warnings) response is issued. An ACW indicates that the filing has been accepted, but that certain issues were identified in the submitted data, such as data quality or completeness concerns. These issues do not prevent loading of the cargo; however, they should be addressed and corrected in future filings to ensure ongoing compliance with MPCI requirements.
Loading cargo without receiving ACT approval is considered a violation of MPCI requirements. Such non‑compliance may result in the imposition of fines and other enforcement actions by NAIC. In addition, the shipment may be subject to interception or further control measures upon arrival in the UAE.
