The eHBL 8000 data and the Close Message will have been filed based on the house airway bill data, and the contract of carriage, for the full piece count. There is no requirement for the freight forwarder to make any change to its eHBL data. However, if the freight forwarder chooses to move the cargo that has arrived to its CW sufferance warehouse or if the importer wishes to Customs clear the part that has arrived, then the eHBL would need to be Amended to change the piece count to the ‘first part’/ arrived piece count. The Customs Broker would need to make an entry such as an “Entered to Arrive” entry.
