Corrections can be made electronically to any data element (including cancellation) to the eHBL and/ or Close Message before the goods are Reported (CACM) or Arrived (WACM). After Report/ Arrival and before acquittal corrections are made as Amendments and can also be made electronically, but only for certain data elements. Post acquittal and for certain key data elements, Form BSF673 must be completed.

Paragraph 9. “With the exception of the House Bill number, Carrier Code or Previous CCN of the House Bill Close Message (key data elements), or Consolidation Indicator on the House Bill, post-arrival amendments will be accepted by CBSA systems on House Bills and House Bill Close Messages until the record has been transferred to the archival history database, usually after 90 days.”
