FAST (Free and Secure Trade):
FAST is a joint initiative between U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) aimed at enhancing border security while expediting the processing of low-risk shipments. Carriers approved under the FAST program for the U.S. can transport FAST shipments and benefit from special processing at the border, including access to dedicated lanes and priority inspection.
C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism):
C-TPAT is a voluntary public-private sector supply chain security program led by CBP. The program fosters collaboration between CBP and the trade community to strengthen international supply chains and improve security at the U.S. border.
PIP (Partners in Protection):
PIP is a cooperative program between private industry and the CBSA, focused on enhancing border and trade chain security. This voluntary program, which has no membership fee, aims to streamline border processes and improve efficiency for low-risk, pre-approved businesses that are recognized as trusted traders.
