What is the difference of Single Shipments and Consolidations?
ยท
- The CBSA requires information on each
single shipment of imported goods. For each shipment one shipper and one
consignee must be identifiable.
- A consolidated shipment is a number of
separate cargo documents grouped together and sent to the CBSA under a single
cargo document.
- As a result of consolidation, the CBSA
requires additional cargo information to identify one shipper and one consignee
for the consolidation which is comprised of multiple single shipments.
