CBSA requires ocean carriers and freight forwarders to electronically transmit data to CBSA 24 hours prior to loading of cargo at foreign port.

Bulk cargo: 24 hours prior to arrival at Canadian port

Conveyance report: Within 24 hours of departure from last foreign port

Empty containers: Conveyance and cargo report must be submitted 96 hours prior to arrival at Canadian port. For voyages less than 96 hours, reports are required at time of departure.
