We have a quick question with regards to specific eManifest filing requirements (if any) on cargo of Canadian origin being returned to Canada. Cargo will not clear at destination – it will simply be turned around at foreign point of entry – and reexported to Canada. Do we need to file eHBL for this?

We have a quick question with regards to specific eManifest filing requirements (if any) on cargo of Canadian origin being returned to Canada. Cargo will not clear at destination – it will simply be turned around at foreign point of entry – and reexported to Canada. Do we need to file eHBL for this?

According to CBSA, if the Canadian goods are returning within a consolidated shipment, an eHB within the prescribed timeframes is required.  If it is returning as a non-consolidated shipment, a primary cargo within the prescribed timeframes is required.
