We are currently having the airlines file HAWB and MAWB. We then submit FRC for the original HAWB and FRI for remaining sub-HAWB. If we continue to file this way, what’s the latest that FRI must be submitted? (4 hours prior to arrival?)

We are currently having the airlines file HAWB and MAWB. We then submit FRC for the original HAWB and FRI for remaining sub-HAWB. If we continue to file this way, what’s the latest that FRI must be submitted? (4 hours prior to arrival?)

  • Please be guided on the below definition for FRC and FRI:

o    FRC is submitted as a change only.

o    FRI is submission as original data or ADD.

  • We recommend to just use 1 system to submit the HAWB so as not to confuse the filer for the AMS Air records they are submitting to CBP. But to answer your question, only the remaining HAWB that has not been included in the original submission can be submitted as FRI.
