Is it possible to CANCEL or CORRECT a WACM if an error is discovered?

Yes. The CBSA issued Customs Notice 16-08 on March 9, 2016. It provides the information necessary for Updates for Post-arrival Manual Amendments for House Bill, Cargo and Conveyance Information (eManifest).

This notice is to inform warehouse operators, carriers, and their services providers who transact business electronically with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) that Form BSF673 (BSF673 – House Bill, Cargo and Conveyance Manual Amendment Form – Post Arrival - All Modes) used to request post-arrival amendments to key data elements as well as guidelines (http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/services/carrier-transporteur/guide-673-eng.html)
have been updated.

The Customs Notice states in part, “effective immediately, if cargo and/or conveyance arrival message were sent in error prior to the actual arrival, warehouse operators, carriers, and/or their services providers will be required to present a completed Form BSF673.

Form BSF673 must be completed and signed by an authorized representative of the client before post-arrival corrections to key data elements are processed by the CBSA.”
