[Section 321] Implement ACE Warning for $800 De Minimis Threshold Exceedance
There is a system-generated validation warning "Accumulated Monetary Amount for this consignee has exceeded today's limit of 800.00" indicates that the consignee may have surpassed the $800 per person/per day threshold. This is in reference to CSMS #6374483.
For shipments (SCNs) with the same consignee name and address, our system automatically aggregates the total declared value. This functionality is designed to proactively alert users prior to submission to CBP, as filings that exceed the threshold are likely to be rejected by CBP.
On January 18, 2025, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) deployed the second release of the Section 321 – Does Not Exceed $800 in Aggregated Shipments enhancement to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). This enhancement provides a warning in ACE when a de minimis shipment may exceed the $800 per person/per day threshold. This release included electronic data interchange (EDI) impacts. For more information about the Section 321 warning, review the trade information notice: Section 321 – Does not exceed $800 in Aggregated Shipments – Release 2.
