A FAST Card Number or an ACE ID is required if the driver is going to cross the borders into the United States. While the FAST Card is the ultimate driver's document for a seamless border passage, an ACE ID must be generated for drivers and crews who do not have such.
Note: ACE crew records will be visible and usable on ACI Highway and vice versa.
To add a driver, crew, or passenger:
Under the Shared menu, click the Crew Master.
Then click the Create Crew Master.
Fill out the required information on the Create crew master page (e.g. names, nationality, travel document, etc.) Fields with red asterisks are mandatory.
If you enter the crew member's email address he/she will receive emails with ACE / ACI Highway acceptances and entry numbers for trips that the crew member is assigned to.
Alternatively, you may enter the crew member's cell phone number to receive SMS messages with ACE/ ACI Highway acceptances and entry numbers (Use of SMS notification will incur a charge of $0.10 per message)
Click the Add Travel Document to encode the person's travel document and hit Save.
Sending the Record (Obtaining an ACE ID)
This step is not required if the crew member will only be crossing into Canada on ACI Highway and for those who have entered their FAST number.
After the details have been successfully saved, the record must be submitted to CBP to request an ACE ID (if the crew member does not hold a FAST card)
From the Crew Master List, tick the box of the driver you are to send to CBP. The ACE Submit button shall then appear. Click it to proceed with sending the profile to generate the ACE ID.
A response from CBP will then be returned shortly. If the status is Accepted, a 7-digit ACE ID will appear under the ACE ID column of the crew record. If the response is RJ, contact CrimsonLogic Support for further instructions.
