Does the Cargo Control Number have to be shown on the first EDI transmission when it is an LCL (Less Than Container Load) shipment? Can the CCN be entered afterward?

The CCN is a mandatory data element and must be entered in order to transmit a Cargo document or a House bill. The CCN cannot be entered afterwards.
